The Director of Professional Services is a critical leadership position based in our Brooklyn office, overseeing the operational, clinical, and sales functions of our home care services. This role requires a dynamic, hands-on leader with extensive expertise in home care operations, clinical oversight, and business development. The Director will drive the delivery of high-quality care, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead growth initiatives to expand our client base and service offerings. Reporting to the executive team, the Director will collaborate with clinical staff, caregivers, and external stakeholders to maintain a reputation for excellence while fostering a culture of compassion and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of home care services, including scheduling, caregiver coordination, and service delivery, to ensure seamless and efficient operations across Brooklyn and surrounding areas.
  • Clinical Oversight: Manage all clinical aspects of care, including medication management, medical safety device implementation, and coordination with doctors and nurses to provide 24/7 medical support.
  • Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to grow the client base, including marketing initiatives, community outreach, and partnerships with healthcare providers, to increase enrollment in consumer-directed programs and other services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations, including Medicaid requirements, and maintain high standards for documentation, reporting, and quality assurance.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise clinical and caregiving staff, fostering professional development and ensuring alignment with company values and performance expectations.
  • Client and Family Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for escalated client concerns, ensuring satisfaction and leveraging technology to provide real-time updates to families on patient care.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and drive profitability while maintaining affordable, high-quality care.
  • Program Innovation: Enhance and expand service offerings, such as consumer-directed programs and social services, to meet evolving client needs and market demands.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies, to support service delivery and advocacy efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in home care or healthcare, with a proven track record in operations, clinical management, and sales.
  • Clinical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of clinical care practices in home care, including medication management, patient assessment, and coordination of medical support services. Licensed healthcare professional (e.g., RN or equivalent) preferred.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales strategies, marketing, and business development in the home care industry, with experience driving revenue growth and client acquisition.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams, with a focus on fostering a culture of accountability, compassion, and excellence.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Medicaid, consumer-directed programs, and other relevant regulations, with experience ensuring compliance and managing audits.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, families, staff, and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Russian and/or Spanish is a significant advantage but not mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with technology, including care management software and client tracking systems, to support operational efficiency and transparency.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Brooklyn, NY, with the ability to work on-site at our Brooklyn office.

Compensation

The Director of Professional Services will receive a base salary of $200,000 annually, with additional performance-based commissions tied to sales growth, client acquisition, and operational efficiency. The commission structure is designed to reward exceptional performance, with potential for significant additional earnings based on achieving and exceeding business development and operational targets.
