As a Nursing Home Healthcare Marketer/Liaison, you will be the face and voice of our nursing home within the local healthcare community, responsible for driving referral growth, building strong relationships with healthcare providers, and supporting admissions. This role combines strategic marketing efforts, compassionate communication, and collaborative partnerships to ensure our facility is a top choice for individuals in need of long-term care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services. You’ll be working closely with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and community organizations to generate leads and convert inquiries into admissions, all while representing our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing & Relationship Building
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to increase referral volume, focusing on relationship-building with local hospitals, clinics, physician practices, and other referral sources.
- Actively participate in community outreach programs, health fairs, and local events to increase facility visibility and foster community partnerships.
- Engage with discharge planners, social workers, and case managers to provide educational resources on our facility’s offerings, and act as a trusted advisor for patient referrals.
- Referral & Admissions Process Management
- Serve as the primary contact for referrals, guiding them through the admissions process and ensuring a seamless transition for residents and their families.
- Conduct on-site visits at hospitals and other healthcare facilities to meet with potential residents and family members, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations.
- Collaborate closely with the admissions and clinical teams to evaluate new referrals, coordinate assessments, and prepare admissions paperwork to streamline the intake process.
- Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
- Monitor and report on referral trends, admission rates, and community feedback to adjust marketing strategies and meet facility census goals.
- Maintain a CRM system or referral tracking tool to analyze referral source effectiveness, follow up on leads, and document all marketing and outreach activities.
- Work with the Director of Business Development to set monthly and quarterly targets, and develop strategic plans to achieve census goals and KPIs.
- Resident & Family Advocacy
- Act as an advocate for residents and their families by offering clear and compassionate information regarding facility services, financial options, and healthcare support available.
- Address any concerns or questions from prospective residents or their families, providing guidance and assurance during the decision-making process.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, and staff to reinforce a supportive and welcoming atmosphere in the community.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in healthcare marketing, community outreach, or similar roles in a skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care facility.
- Proven track record of success in building referral networks and achieving census goals within a healthcare setting.
- Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic approach to resident and family interactions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic data analysis for tracking referrals and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare insurance programs to assist in guiding patients and families through coverage options.
Compensation
- Salary: Competitive $85,000 base salary plus performance-based incentives.
