We are seeking a dynamic and experienced B2B Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our commercial division. This role focuses on selling essential food ingredients such as wheats, flours, shortenings, and oils to manufacturers and bakeries outside the tri-state area. The ideal candidate will strategically target new markets, employing innovative sales tactics to secure new business and drive company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in national, non-tri-state markets, focusing on new area's manufacturers and bakeries.
  • Employ guerrilla sales tactics to penetrate untapped markets and secure quarterly contracts through competitive bidding.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with B2B clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop tailored sales pitches and presentations that effectively communicate the value of our products.
  • Track sales performance and provide regular reports to management, suggesting improvements and adjustments to sales strategies as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within the food industry, particularly in selling ingredients or commodities.
  • Exceptional sales acumen and professional demeanor, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, driving national growth through strategic planning and execution.
  • Must be based in or willing to work from our Edison, NJ office.

Salary/Compensation

  • Competitive base salary with a draw against commissions starting at $100K+.
  • Potential to earn $150K in the first year, $200K in the second year, and up to $400K based on performance.
