This is a key role that will shape the employee experience at MGM Healthcare, driving engagement, retention, and workplace satisfaction through thoughtful initiatives.

As an Employment Engagement Specialist, you will be the architect of employee culture at MGM Healthcare. This highly autonomous role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing innovative programs that inspire our staff to feel engaged, valued, and connected to our mission. You will lead various special projects to make each of our 30+ locations a welcoming and vibrant place to work. From large-scale events and employee recognition programs to onboarding processes and continuing education initiatives, you will create a workplace where our employees feel supported, empowered, and proud to be part of MGM Healthcare.

This position requires someone who thrives on independence, creativity, and leadership. You will work closely with leadership across all locations but will be empowered to drive and execute your vision for employee engagement. With no requirement for a background in skilled nursing, this is an incredible opportunity for someone with experience in employee engagement roles to bring fresh perspectives and make a lasting impact on a company that cares deeply about its people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Engagement Strategy: Develop, implement, and continuously refine creative engagement strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of a diverse workforce spread across multiple states. Ensure these programs foster a positive workplace culture where employees feel valued and motivated.
  • Special Projects and Initiatives: Independently lead high-impact projects, such as company-wide social events, wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition systems. These initiatives should aim to create an exciting, cohesive, and productive environment.
  • Retention & Orientation Programs: Create and implement retention strategies to maintain high employee satisfaction and reduce turnover rates. Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated and immediately feel part of the company’s culture.
  • Employee Development & Education: Organize ongoing education and training programs to promote continuous growth, skill development, and career advancement among employees. Support a culture of learning and professional development across all facilities.
  • Feedback and Workplace Improvements: Establish mechanisms to gather and act on employee feedback. Use insights to continuously evolve engagement initiatives and create an ever-improving employee experience.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Influence: Work closely with HR and management teams across all facilities to ensure alignment between engagement programs and organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience in Employee Engagement: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, designing and executing employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives. This experience should include large-scale, company-wide programs that positively impacted employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Autonomous and Creative Leadership: Ability to work independently and lead projects without extensive oversight. You must be a self-starter, capable of creating innovative solutions that drive real results across multiple sites.
  • Project Management Expertise: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects across different time zones and locations. You must have experience in overseeing large initiatives from concept through execution, measuring their impact along the way.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to leverage employee data and feedback to continuously refine and improve engagement strategies. You should be comfortable using surveys, feedback tools, and performance data to adapt programs to the evolving needs of the workforce.
  • Strong Communication and Relationship-Building Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels, from front-line staff to senior leadership. You should be a connector who can unite teams, create buy-in for new initiatives, and foster strong relationships across departments.
  • Results-Oriented: A track record of successfully driving measurable improvements in employee retention, satisfaction, and workplace culture through thoughtful and well-executed programs.
  • Adaptability Across Diverse Workforces: Experience managing engagement programs for a large, geographically dispersed organization with diverse employee demographics and needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Multi-Site Organizations: Prior experience working with organizations that have a large footprint (20+ locations), where engagement strategies needed to be adapted to meet the needs of different cultures, work environments, and teams.
  • HR and Talent Development Expertise: Experience working closely with HR teams to align engagement programs with recruitment, retention, and talent development goals. A background in training, onboarding, and employee education is highly preferred.
  • Innovative Thinking: A forward-thinking mindset, always on the lookout for the latest trends in employee engagement and workplace culture. Familiarity with new engagement technologies and tools (e.g., wellness platforms, virtual engagement solutions) is a plus.
  • Flexible and Able to Travel: Willingness to travel to different MGM Healthcare locations as needed to oversee and support engagement initiatives.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
