Responsibilities
- Proactive Cold Outreach & Lead Generation: Leverage your construction industry experience to identify and engage potential clients through cold calls, emails, and in-person visits. Focus on businesses within designated zip codes, conducting weekly door-to-door outreach to spark interest in our high-end renovation and construction services.
- In-Person Business Engagement: Knock on doors of targeted commercial and residential prospects to introduce our services, build rapport, and schedule meetings with key decision-makers. Your goal is to position our firm as the go-to partner for their construction and renovation needs.
- Sales Pipeline Development & Management: Build and maintain a dynamic sales pipeline by qualifying leads, tracking interactions, and ensuring timely follow-ups. Use CRM tools to document progress and provide regular updates to the leadership team to align with company growth objectives.
- Client Needs Analysis & Relationship Building: Understand clients’ project goals, challenges, and budgets through consultative engagement. Develop trust-based relationships to position our tailored solutions as the ideal fit for their commercial or residential projects.
- Achieving Growth Targets: Drive measurable results by meeting and exceeding targets for lead generation, meeting bookings, and deal closures. Your performance will directly contribute to expanding our prestigious portfolio across diverse industries.
- Collaboration with Project Teams: Partner with our construction management and project development teams to ensure a seamless handoff of new clients, enabling the delivery of innovative, client-focused solutions from concept to completion.
Qualifications
- Construction Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of business development or sales experience within the construction, real estate, or related industries, with a deep understanding of commercial and residential project dynamics.
- Cold Outreach Expertise: Demonstrated success in cold calling, email outreach, and in-person prospecting, with a fearless approach to knocking on doors and engaging new contacts in targeted zip codes.
- Self-Starter & Goal-Oriented: Thrive in a performance-driven environment, with the ability to independently manage your schedule, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet weekly outreach and sales targets.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to pitch to senior-level decision-makers and articulate the value of our services.
- Organizational & CRM Proficiency: Excellent organizational skills to manage a high-volume pipeline. Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track leads, meetings, and progress is required.
- Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the New Haven, Connecticut market and surrounding areas is a plus, enabling effective targeting of businesses in key zip codes.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
- Commission Structure: This role includes a commission of 5–10% of the profit per sale or deal closed. This structure rewards high-profit sales, aligning your earnings with your success. Details on rates and payment timing will be shared during onboarding.
