About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Salesperson to join the ConnectBooks team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business by selling our accounting software to eCommerce businesses, particularly those involved in wholesale distribution and social media selling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting software, though the primary focus of the role will be on sales. You will work closely with our onboarding team to ensure smooth transitions for new clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and target new eCommerce businesses, with a specific focus on those involved in wholesale distribution, social media selling, and other inventory-based business models, to introduce them to ConnectBooks' accounting solutions.
  • Effectively sell ConnectBooks accounting software and services by managing the entire sales process, from initial outreach and lead generation to closing deals and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for new clients, offering continued support during the post-sales phase to ensure client satisfaction and success.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system to accurately track prospect and client information, ensuring that no opportunity slips through the cracks while also enabling you to identify patterns and refine your sales strategy.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns, leveraging their expertise to maximize your outreach efforts and boost your closing rate.
  • Stay well-informed of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging eCommerce technologies, using this knowledge to offer tailored advice and present ConnectBooks as the best accounting solution for prospective clients.
  • Provide regular feedback to the product and customer service teams to improve sales processes, client experience, and product offerings, helping the company continuously refine its value proposition and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in sales, preferably within a SaaS or accounting software environment, with a proven ability to effectively pitch software solutions and close sales.
  • Solid understanding of accounting software principles, with the ability to explain complex features in an accessible and compelling manner to prospective clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport, listen to client needs, and influence decisions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Previous experience in eCommerce sales is highly preferred, especially if you have worked with wholesale distribution or social media selling businesses and are familiar with the unique challenges they face.
  • A self-starter with a strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage a high volume of prospects while also being an effective collaborator within a team-oriented environment.
  • A results-driven mindset, demonstrated through meeting or exceeding sales targets in previous roles, with an ability to maintain motivation and consistency under pressure.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle while ensuring no prospect is neglected or forgotten.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary of $70,000.
  • Each sale generates a $550 commission for the company.
  • As the salesperson, you earn 5% recurring commission on each sale.
  • This means you'll receive ongoing commissions as long as the client remains active, creating long-term earning potential.
  • The structure rewards both initial sales efforts and sustained client relationships.
