As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Headway ABA, you will work directly with children diagnosed with ASD, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role will be to provide one-on-one therapy, collect data, and engage in a variety of therapeutic activities designed to help children develop essential skills and improve behavior. RBTs are crucial in promoting positive behavior change, supporting each child’s progress, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure the effectiveness of each treatment plan.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by BCBAs
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions with children diagnosed with ASD
  • Collect data on client progress and behavior changes
  • Assist in skill development in areas such as communication, social skills, and daily living activities
  • Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding client progress
  • Ensure that all therapy sessions are conducted in a safe and supportive environment
  • Follow the guidance of BCBAs in modifying therapy as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date records of client progress
  • Participate in team meetings and training opportunities
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and their families to promote continued growth

Qualifications

  • Active RBT certification
  • Experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow detailed behavior intervention plans
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving client outcomes
  • Reliable transportation to the Greensboro, NC area
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or training in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus
