Express Appliances LLC is a fast-growing national appliance wholesaler providing products to the new construction and multi-family renovation markets. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic salesperson to join our team as the first sales hire. This is a key position that will help drive growth and expansion, focusing on both servicing existing accounts and pursuing new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Account Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, primarily third-party management companies in the multi-family and new construction sectors. Proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying and engaging potential clients across the country.
  • Lead Generation and Conversion: Manage inbound and self-generated leads, convert opportunities into sales by understanding client needs, presenting tailored solutions, and closing sales in a competitive market.
  • Travel: Travel required for client meetings, site visits, and trade shows (1-5 times per month). Represent the company at industry events and build new client relationships while deepening existing ones.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the owner and other team members to align on sales strategies and objectives, ensuring smooth execution of the sales process.
  • Client Relations and Support: Manage certain aspects of client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns or needs they may have.
  • Market Expansion: Play an integral role in identifying and capitalizing on new markets, helping expand the company’s footprint and product offerings.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: A background in sales to the multi-family and new construction sectors is crucial. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of the industry, specifically the needs of builders, contractors, and property managers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the appliance industry is highly preferred but not required. Familiarity with the product and its application within the construction and renovation sectors is an advantage.
  • Sales Skills: Proven sales experience, a strong track record of hitting targets, and the ability to drive growth within existing accounts while seeking new opportunities.
  • Personal Traits: A humble, team-oriented individual who is a strong communicator and a good listener. The ability to develop relationships, listen to client needs, and effectively present solutions is essential.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $50-60K annually, with higher compensation for candidates based in the Tri-State area.
  • Commission: 1-2% of sales, with significant earning potential based on performance.
  • Manufacturer Spiffs: Any spiffs or incentives from manufacturers will be passed directly to the salesperson, providing an additional source of income.
  • Total Compensation Potential: Total annual compensation could range from $200K to $400K depending on the salesperson’s success and the number of deals closed.
