We are a growing hospice organization seeking a dynamic Hospice Marketer to drive patient census growth and establish a strong presence in Key West, FL. This is a high-impact role for a sales-driven professional with a strong background in hospice or healthcare marketing. The ideal candidate will focus on building referral partnerships, executing marketing strategies, and promoting high-quality hospice services within the community.
The Hospice Marketer will lead business development efforts, reporting to the Regional Director of Business Development. This role is responsible for increasing patient referrals, fostering relationships with healthcare providers, and ensuring the organization’s mission of compassionate care is communicated effectively. Candidates with proven sales success in hospice or home health are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Referral Growth:
- Establish and expand hospice presence in Key West through strategic partnerships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, and senior care providers.
- Identify and cultivate referral sources to drive patient census growth.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing and outreach strategies to promote hospice services.
- Represent the organization at community events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
Relationship Building & Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and community organizations.
- Conduct regular outreach to educate referral sources on the benefits of hospice care.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure referral partners understand the organization’s commitment to quality patient care.
- Stay informed on local and national hospice trends to align outreach efforts with industry needs.
Sales & Marketing Execution:
- Meet and exceed referral and admission goals through proactive sales efforts.
- Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies.
- Develop marketing materials, presentations, and campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and referral partner interactions.
Compliance & Ethical Standards:
- Ensure all marketing and business development activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Promote hospice services in alignment with Medicare Hospice Certification requirements and applicable regulations.
- Uphold the organization’s mission and values in all interactions with referral partners and the community.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hospice or healthcare marketing, sales, or business development.
- Proven track record of driving referrals or sales in hospice, home health, or senior care settings.
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including referral networks and hospice regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of emotional intelligence and a patient-centered approach to marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare, business, or a related field preferred.
- Must reside in or be willing to commute to Key West, FL (no relocation assistance provided).
- Established relationships with healthcare providers in the Key West area are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $100,000 (based on experience).
